Wow!

I think this may be my favorite of your submissions. It flows amazingly, mixes in tons of FX fluidly and I can't stop listening to it. I've come back to it multiple times in the past hour, mostly just to hear 02:42-03:09. I quite literally wanted to get up and dance or something. And I never want to do that.
Love it ;D

Splendid.

How is the score so low? Sure, it may be a little experimental, especially nearer the start, but come on, people. This is professional stuff here. You really seem to know what you're doing - the pads, bass and melodies sound perfectly together. How you managed to practically double the tempo throughout the course of the song without me even noticing will forever haunt me. This is quite a fantastic piece. It's original, catchy and sounds brilliant. I believe I've stated before that your songs deserve more attention and recogniton than they get, and this has not changed.
Good luck in the future.

Great, as always

I'm torn between 9 and 10 here, but I think it doesn't flow as well as some of your other pieces. It lacks a bit of bass here and there, and the start doesn't open up as well as it could. But... negatives aside, I really like the melodies and pads as always :P
You have an abilitiy to really mix sounds and tunes into each other, while making everything sound great in the process.
Keep up the good work :P

Catchy as always

You had me tapping my foot almost immediately upon hearing this. The melodies just - for lack of a more descriptive word - melt into one another. Perfectly.
The pluck string has just a tiny bit too much reverb, but it doesn't adversely affect the flow of the piece, so.. you know :P
This is certainly a favourite of mine so far.
I like it :D

Wow! can't believe! this one is in your favorite's list? wow... just wow... thank you so much dude =D

Great :D

As always, I love the bass. You have a real talent for mixing melodies together, and your beats fit the atmoxphere of this piece very well.
If I had to complain, I'd say the pluck string was just a little piercing. Just a little bit. It isn't anything big, though.
Anyways, I like this one.

Foxtacy responds:

Yeah some other friend said the same about the string... it really hurts your ear if you hear this in a higher volume haha... but next time i promise to pay attention on the EQUO =)

Love it

The bass and bells mix so smoothly with each other. I love the synth-bassy-paddy thing you have in the background as well, it merges into the melody perfectly.
I found myself tapping my foot to the beat eventually, the tune is very catchy.
While there is a small amount of distortion towards the end, it's not easy to notice.
I like this one ;D

Dude... thank you SO MUCH! finally! it seems i hit the spot on this one =)

Greeeeeaat :3

Buuuuuuut... I think the pluck strings need to be replaced with something on a lower key, (Maybe a saw or bass) they mess with the mix a little. And some heavier bass and pads could do it good as well, but I like it as it is.
I reaaaaally like the main melody; it totally works with the notes in the background and as always, your percussion is great :D

Good.

This is good. Its far from perfect, needs some mastering and has a few timing problems with delay on instruments and things, but it still sounds good. If theres one thing I think you really need to improve on, its your choice of sounds. It sounds like you're merging several genres into one sometimes because of the (variety?) of instruments you choose. I think you should stick to one kind of sound to make your songs sound a little less... odd.
Otherwise, this was pretty good. Not perfect, but you're getting very good at the basics (melodies, percussion, etc)
By the way, Lubos is an idiot. Ignore that fuck.

Keep improving.

Interesting...

I like this, but its a little out of the ordinary. You're changing the key so often (The arp and bells seem to mix minor keys with major ones frequently in the melody) that it sounds like its... fluctuating... a little too much. At parts it sounds fantastic, the bells and piano give a really nice atmosphere to the piece. It is quite repetitive, it sounds like it could be background music in some kind of point and click mystery game or maybe in a credit sequence.
Anyway, the song itself is very well done. It sounds professional and clean, its just the thing about the keys that I mentioned earlier thats getting to me a bit.
Great song, thiugh! :P

Oh and, my 500th music review. Yay :D

ghook responds:

Hmmmmm. I don't think it is changing key. The Sequence is C---/CMaj7---/Bb---/F---/F/A---/F9/A-
-
-/Bb---/F--- so it is in F Major starting on C.

FYI the bell sound is a Vibraphone, which is a percussion instrument. I sampled it myself, cause you can't seem to find anything decent on the net (that doesn't have spyware in it).

Jesus

Youre too good at this ;D
Percussion was great, that little beepy thing fitted very well into the mix considering.
The bass was awesome.

why thank you good sir

I was worried the beep might get a bit too repetitive; is that what you're "considering"?
Also, the bass was made in Sytrus, loosely based on the PWM Saw preset, except I remade it from scratch.
