The first 10 seconds were all it took...

for me to decide: WIN!
I like this, a lot. Its quite simplistic and in some parts could do with slightly heavier bass, but it still sounds great. The title suits it well, as the song itself describes destruction. It gets kind of repetitive in some later parts, but I spose you cant expect much less from a song that is 7 whole minutes long :P

Thanks man! It means a lot :D

Hmm... I'm not sure.

This seems a very confusing genre. The song itself is very glitchy and odd, in my tastes at least. If this genre is an aquired taste, as it sounds very much like it is, then obviously not everyone is going to like it. I shall give you a 7/10, due to the fact that a wierd part of me likes the way it sounds... not in a musical way, but in a sort of... I dont know, really.

Oavatos responds:

haha it is a bit of an acquired taste. glitchy oddness is what I'm shooting for here. I have a lot of inspiration from Hardcore, Experimental music, as well as drum and bass and breakcore. it's definitely not a genre everyone will like.

thanks for the higher rating though! shows that you did listen with an open mind.

I cant say..

I understand either of the words in the title. But I really like this, especially past 03:00, where it gets kind of heroic and fast :3
The synth you used there was a little piercing in comparison to the rest of the mix, so you might want to tone that down a bit.. somehow. Your transitions between major and minor were flawless, I dont know how you managed that :O
Anyways, this is pretty sweet. Im still not fully into hardcore or gabber really because to me it sounds a little odd, but I thought this was great :D

Austerity means kind of severe, barren, harsh, and Vehement can mean excited, fired up, etc.

I didn't really notice the piercing-ness of the synth until you mentioned it just then, but I can see what you mean. The major/minor thing is pretty simple, but it's probably harder to explain than do. I spent a little while on that last pattern trying to make it sound right, though.

Thanks for reviewing!

Edit 1/12:
Oh, and if you like this, you might like to listen to Hellsystem - Set Me Up if you can find it on YouTube. It's a similar structure to this, but more pro. =P

Hmm

I quite like this, its very simple yet sounds not bad.
Parts of the song dont work as well as they could, however, like when the piano comes in at about 01:02. I think you need a lot more pads, maybe some dark powerful strings. Its also fairly weak on the percussion side, which is something to work on.
Its quite repetitive, but I found it strangely catchy, in a good way. Its a little linear for my tastes, though.
Keep improving :3

Thank you for another review! You reviewed my other song too and it does really help me by reviewing my songs! :)

I quite like this...

Its very nice, I like the way youve done those strings. You certainly have some talent for melodies, that much is obvious. I think you need a little more on the bass side of things... not literally a bass, but maybe some pads or just something to fill the gap.
Its a very simplistic song, and I think thats why I like it so much.
Keep doing what youre doing :3

Thank you for the review and advice! :)

As I said this afternoon...

Epic WIN. I like this more than anything Ive heard from you before. While hardcore isn't my style, I really enjoy this.
I cant really hear the pads very well in this version, but you said it would prolly sound different.
I still love it though :D

Yay! thanks. and downloadskypepl0x

This sounds SO familiar...

Im straining my stupid semi-frozen brain to try and work out where IVE HEARD THIS BEFORE. Did you show me the Flp. sometime or something? I just cant seem to remember. The only part I dont remember hearing is... well; everything on the latter side of 02:13. Anyways, this was well put together and enjoyable to listen to, it is a little slow as DnB goes, but I think it works.
Me likes.

blackduckie responds:

Yeah, I sent you an unfinished MP3 of it ages ago on Xfire, remember? 2:13 was where I was stuck for close to forever until like, a few weeks ago.

Interesting...

I dont know how to rate this, really. I remember hearing this about 2 weeks ago when you showed it to me, I cant say its changed very much. I think the low-ish score comes from the genre, hardcore (or at least this kind of hardcore) is a very aquired taste.
It does sound proffessional, though.

true, very acquired taste for some, unaquireable for others.
thanks

From what I can hear....

your entire song is composed of loops. People that create their own music, with their own melodies and own beats frown upon this, so you need to get yourself something better to work with... switch to another program.
To your credit, the layout and organization of the song was not all that bad, it was very bland though.
Making music with premade loops is not making music. Its compiling music.

Eclipse responds:

Thank you for your review, and I agree, I do need a new program. I do now realize that it is bland, right now I've got another, darker metal song in a different program planned as well as a techno song. Thank you for the honest review, as I know the song isn't great but you still gave me credit. Check back on my page, eventually I will have new songs up.

HOLLLLY SHIT

This is FANATASTIC. Deinitely frontpage material. It could do with a little more mastering, but it sounds great anyway. The intro literally blew me away, I'm amazed at how fast youre improving.
I reaaally like this.

zenodio responds:

Thanks alot. And what's with you and that mastering!!!???

I mean, that i don't hear any problems with the mastering, bad mastering is when the volume is unstable.

And as far as i could see on the FL Limitar i couldn't see any problems.

But, anyway. Thanks =D
