Thought I'd check out the rest of the Blueprints series...

...and the intro is compelling me to review. It's so beautiful and ambient, and i love it. The chorus with the saw is quite nice, and the pianos in the background following it sound great. The next chorus with the sliding video-game lead is actually amazing - I love it.

The percussion is good also, I like the snare a little more than the one you're using in later songs as it sounds a little more solid and punchy.
My favorite aspect of this song is absolutely your chord progression. It sounds amazing - not even exaggerating on that point.

I really like this.

Loving that intro.

The airy pad you have there is very nice, and those chords following it sound great. I can hear some similarities (it might be the piano you're using) to Design, and the snare sounds the same too - it creates a nice sense of continuity.
The saw lead you're using works nicely, though i feel like it's a bit too detuned to work perfectly with rest of the song. It certainly doesn't sound bad, though.

I'm at the first chorus now, and it sounds good. I really wish the snare was a bit more powerful, but that's really all I can complain about. The pads work very nicely here, and I'm still loving that piano (could be a bit louder, but I don't know really; I'm just nitpicking.)

Not much happens after that chorus, aside from a breakdown and some slight variation on the piano notes; which works. This piece feels very much like some of your previous stuff, in that the percussion makes it feel fast and yet the melodies give a sense of something slow moving and peaceful. I'm enjoying this one.

The outro is beautiful, I wish it went on a little longer. Those soft notes are really nice.

I like it.

Awesome review, thanks.

The piano is a staple across the 4 tracks in Blueprints, it's part of the sound I wanted along with floaty pads and strings. It takes on more of a lead role in this and Design though. Also yeah, the snare sample is the same. xD

I'm embarassed about this, but as I mentioned in the description, I lost interest in this track before it was done. Everything (save for the outro) past 3:18 I don't really like. When I go to remaster I'll see if I can realize my original ideas for the second chorus.

I'm glad you liked the little outro. I'm currently starting a little game project and if I get to putting together a soundtrack for it some of the tracks will have that same soft, pretty, ambient sound. ;3

Thanks again for the in-depth review! I'm happy you liked it, despite its flaws (ha).
I'll try and return the favour someday if I find the time.

Holy shit, how did I never find this track before?

I have to say that I've disliked a lot of your more recent stuff, and so probably didn't feel inclined to give this a look when I saw it initially - but I have to say, wow. This has got to be my favorite of anything you've ever made.
It feels so clean, and has a lot of space. I love (LOVE) the main arp-ish thing (not sure what to call it, really) in the background, and the chord progression is beyond delicious. I also love that plucky, dirty sounding bass that you're using occasionally.

The piece isn't very interesting after a while because it repeats itself so much; but it's so brilliant that I don't mind.

Pleeeease make more stuff like this.

How?

I couldn't decide whether or not I loved this at first; and it seems that every time I experience such an ambiguous response, I end up falling in love with whatever I happen to be unsure about. This is no exception.

I love the theme and the lead melody a lot. I feel like the percussion needs to be stronger, but it seems I say that about everything lately. Maybe I've been spoiled by Stan SB.
I like this a lot, though - there aren't any major flaws I can point out, and it just sounds great overall.

Yep.

Sounds professional!

It's very clear that you've put a lot of effort into this, especially the first minute or so, and it really shows. The intro is extremely diverse and sounds great, I love the amount of FX.

A little further in, the piece gets a little repetitive; but that's sort of characteristic of the genre (though to be fair, I haven't heard much House) and subsequently it doesn't really damage the song.

The percussion is good, and the kick is pretty perfect in terms of volume (something I can never seem to do x.x) and it sounds great.

I like it!

Thanks bro :D

Oddly appropriate name.

I don't know if you'd call this a full song, since it's extremely short (and you have it listed as a loop :P) but it does have some level of progression and structure = so it is more of a song than a loop.

It sounded pretty decent, I liked the happy/bouncy feel of it and it looped fairly soundly.

Overall the sounds you're using clash a little too much, though, try filling the spectrum a little more smoothly (EQing and whatnot) and you should achieve a nicer sound.
The kick sounds fairly good; it sticks out a bit, but it's fairly noticeable and that's a good thing. The percussion does sound a little quiet during crescendos however, and your clap/snare also seems a little high in the spectrum (could be a punchier, also.)

I thought the ending sounded a little lazy, but then I realized it was supposed to loop and it worked. I'd really suggest putting some delay (echo) on that piano though, or at least some reverb, as it sounds pretty flat on its own.

Good for a first full song, and I certainly recommend you continue producing.

Thanks so much for the review man!
I definitely agree with your suggestion of the echo effect and i'll look into that.
As for EQ'ing I have no idea how to do that, but I will look it up on youtube and definitely become better!
