How?

I couldn't decide whether or not I loved this at first; and it seems that every time I experience such an ambiguous response, I end up falling in love with whatever I happen to be unsure about. This is no exception.

I love the theme and the lead melody a lot. I feel like the percussion needs to be stronger, but it seems I say that about everything lately. Maybe I've been spoiled by Stan SB.
I like this a lot, though - there aren't any major flaws I can point out, and it just sounds great overall.

Yep.

Interesting.

Liking the opening pad around 00:17, the chords sound nice - the synth sounds a little bland, but it works.
The percussion (snare specifically) needs to be a lot punchier and louder, and overall I think the piece needs more substance.
It also feels a little repetitive (since you don't change the lead melody at all) but its length prevents it from getting boring; so if you continue working on this (and, you should) try to change it up a bit at regular intervals.

Overall I think it has potential, and I definitely recommend you finish it.

Thanks for the review! I'm going to start work on it tomorrow :)

Sounds professional!

It's very clear that you've put a lot of effort into this, especially the first minute or so, and it really shows. The intro is extremely diverse and sounds great, I love the amount of FX.

A little further in, the piece gets a little repetitive; but that's sort of characteristic of the genre (though to be fair, I haven't heard much House) and subsequently it doesn't really damage the song.

The percussion is good, and the kick is pretty perfect in terms of volume (something I can never seem to do x.x) and it sounds great.

I like it!

Thanks bro :D

Repetitive, but so gooood.

This song sounds almost like trance, simply because of its arpeggiated melodies and somewhat repetitive nature.
It's just that the percussion, the synths, the melodies... they all sound so clean, so crisp. The whole mix is quite delicious, and your percussion sounds great.
I think my only complaint (repetition aside) is that the snare feels a bit muffled (I like clean sounding percussion, it's mostly a taste thing) and that I'm not overly fond of the kick - but I'm just nitpicking really.

I like it a lot - if this is an old track, you must be DnB jesus by now.

The intro compelled me to review.

First off, I love the vocals. They feel appropriate to the genre and the rest of the song (something I seldom find with independent producers) and the lyrics themselves are quite good also.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first crescendo, it didn't quite fulfill the anticipation created by the preceding buildup, so it feels a little flat - but it still sounds good. I also like percussion a lot, you're using a very nice genre-appropriate snare. The hats could be a little quieter, but they're fine as they are.

You do a relatively good job at keeping the piece interesting as it progresses, and I found myself enjoying it. The vocals really complete what might otherwise feel like an incomplete song.

I like it a lot, and I heartily recommend you keep producing as quickly as possible :P

Thanks for that, always good to see people that post helpful comments :)

Oddly appropriate name.

I don't know if you'd call this a full song, since it's extremely short (and you have it listed as a loop :P) but it does have some level of progression and structure = so it is more of a song than a loop.

It sounded pretty decent, I liked the happy/bouncy feel of it and it looped fairly soundly.

Overall the sounds you're using clash a little too much, though, try filling the spectrum a little more smoothly (EQing and whatnot) and you should achieve a nicer sound.
The kick sounds fairly good; it sticks out a bit, but it's fairly noticeable and that's a good thing. The percussion does sound a little quiet during crescendos however, and your clap/snare also seems a little high in the spectrum (could be a punchier, also.)

I thought the ending sounded a little lazy, but then I realized it was supposed to loop and it worked. I'd really suggest putting some delay (echo) on that piano though, or at least some reverb, as it sounds pretty flat on its own.

Good for a first full song, and I certainly recommend you continue producing.

Thanks so much for the review man!
I definitely agree with your suggestion of the echo effect and i'll look into that.
As for EQ'ing I have no idea how to do that, but I will look it up on youtube and definitely become better!

You've only been producing for 4 months?

Damn, dude - this is pretty good, especially for the experience you've had. Far better than I was at 4 months, certainly :P

The song is very well paced, and I like the intro and use of piano. I think the crescendos aren't as interesting as they could be, but they still work very well (and apart from the hats and snare being a little bit on the high side of the spectrum, it was the only flaw I could complain about :P)

The slide on the choir also feels a tad artificial, but it's not necessarily a bad thing and I think it works well.

Overall the piece flows nicely, and I like it a lot. Keep producing, you've got talent.

Thanks man ! yeah, i started producing sometime around april, people seemed to like like what i did so i continued to make music.
This song was a sidetrack for an EP and it was not really my strongest type :p
Im going to upload my more loved work today :) you should check it out !

:O ooohhhh

I'm only at the intro, and I'm feeling chills already at those chords.

Just hit the first crescendo, and good god, this is amazing. Loving that sliding lead, it feels very fluid - and those chords following it sound great. I'm actually not terribly fond of the vocals, they sound a bit odd to me - but I gather that it's an intentional effect.

The percussion is great, it doesn't feel too strong, nor too soft - though I think the snare could be a little louder (I have a soft spot for deafening snares.)
The drumstep section worked really well; it fit perfectly. Those chords following it though... those chords... I love them.

Overall the piece flows incredibly well, transitions are pretty seamless, and my favorite aspect is still your use of chords. The piano sounds awesome, seriously.

Additionally, this is probably the most professional sounding piece I've heard in the AP for at least a few weeks, so I've got to commend you on that.

Very nice :D

Lengthy!

This song really isn't anything I expected, especially considering the genre (it doesn't quite fit Dance imo, though I could be wrong.)
The effects are nice (even if some of them are default Nexus-related) and overall the song progresses fairly nicely.
It feels a little flat at parts, but a lot of Dance and Trance songs sound that way to me if they're long, and the huge size of this song pretty much excuses most of my repetition related complaints.

Oh, the vocals are really cool too.

gloony responds:

First, thank you ^^

For the genre, is just cause the gender "psytrance" doesn't exist on this site, and all of the song I ear is write "Dance" (Astral Project, Brain Damage, ...), I just follow the flow :)

For the vocal, I'm really sorry, I've a french accent '^^

I try to make better the next time ;) (for avoid repetition and flat parts)

Ooooooh yes.

Loving that arp in the introduction, the progression feels very smooth and natural. It's a bit repetitive thus far, but doesn't feel boring in any way - and melodically it's amazing. The transition at ~01:10 feels perfect, and I love that melody so much.

The piece feels quite slow and methodical in some ways, it moves at a relaxing pace - I feel like there should be a crescendo somewhere and I'm waiting patiently for one; the piece is certainly building some tension.

In many ways it feels somewhat... arcadeish? I don't have an appropriate adjective (at least, not one that's a word) but there is a certain retro feel to it.
I like it a lot, despite the fact that it didn't quite peak the way I was expecting it to - felt more like a continuous stream of elements and happy melodies that melted fairly seamlessly into one another.

i like it!
